The boot is the mandatory starting stake every player puts in before cards are dealt. It sets the minimum pot size for that round and determines the call and raise amounts throughout the hand.

Playing blind means betting without looking at your cards. Blind players pay half the current stake compared to seen players, creating a risk-reward dynamic that is central to Teen Patti strategy.

A sideshow is a private hand comparison between two seen players. The player with the weaker hand must fold, keeping the pot smaller and removing one opponent before the main showdown.

A trail — also called a set or trio — is three cards of the same rank. It ranks as the strongest hand in Teen Patti Mania, above a pure sequence and any other combination.

A seen player has looked at their cards and must bet at least double the current stake compared to a blind player. Being seen gives information but increases your minimum call cost each round.

A pure sequence is three consecutive cards of the same suit — for example, five, six and seven of hearts. It ranks second only to a trail and beats a regular sequence of mixed suits.
